Terms and Conditions — Margareta Ring Photography

1. Introduction
These Terms and Conditions set out the agreement between Margareta Ring Photography ("we", "us", "our") and the client ("you", "your") for all photography services, bookings, and sessions. By making a booking or paying a deposit, you agree to be bound by these terms.

2. Booking and Payment
2.1 A booking is confirmed once the deposit has been received and acknowledged by us.
2.2 A non‑refundable deposit of 50% of the total package price is required to secure your booking date. This deposit is non‑refundable under all circumstances, as it reserves the date and covers administrative and preparation costs.
2.3
For portrait and headshot sessions, the full outstanding balance must be paid no later than 72 hours before the scheduled session date. Full payment must be cleared before the session takes place.
For event and wedding photography, the full outstanding balance must be paid no later than 1 month before the event date. Full payment must be cleared before the event takes place.
2.4 Payments are processed securely through Square or SumUp. We do not store full card details.
2.5 All prices are in Euro and include VAT at the applicable rate.
3. Rescheduling and Cancellation
3.1 You may reschedule your session once, provided we receive notice at least 72 hours before the original session date. The new session date must take place within 12 months of the original booking date.
3.2 If you give less than 72 hours notice for rescheduling or cancellation, the full balance remains payable and no deposit will be refunded.
3.3 In the event that we are unable to attend due to illness, emergency, or circumstances beyond our control, we will offer the earliest available alternative date or provide a full refund including deposit.
3.4 Rescheduling is subject to availability. We do not guarantee availability for preferred dates.
4. Photographs, Delivery and Retouching
4.1 We do not provide raw, unedited, or unprocessed image files. Only the final selected and edited images will be delivered to you.
4.2 Final edited images will be delivered via online gallery or digital download within a maximum of 4 weeks from the date of the session.
4.3 The style, colour, tone, and level of retouching are at our professional discretion.
4.4 Retouching will not alter your body shape, facial features, or natural appearance. We maintain a natural editing style unless otherwise agreed in writing.
4.5 The number of images delivered is specified in your chosen package. Additional images may be purchased separately at our current rates.
5. Use of Client Images by Margareta Ring Photography — Portfolio and Promotional Use
5.1 By booking a session and being given clear notice of this clause, you acknowledge that Margareta Ring Photography may use selected identifiable images and/or video from the session for our own portfolio, website, social media, studio display, educational, press, and non-paid promotional purposes, unless you opt out in writing before or at the time of the session.
5.2 You may opt out by emailing margaretaringphotography@gmail.com or notifying us in writing before the session. Opting out will not affect your booking, the quality of the session, or the services provided.
5.3 This clause does not permit us to use your identifiable images or video for paid advertising, sponsored content, commercial endorsements, merchandise, third-party brand campaigns, artificial intelligence training, or sale or licensing to third parties without your separate written consent.
5.4 If you later ask us to stop using your identifiable images or video for future promotional purposes, we will take reasonable steps to stop future use within a reasonable period. This will not affect lawful uses already made, printed materials already produced, content already shared by third parties, or uses that cannot reasonably be withdrawn.
5.5 Nothing in this clause limits any rights you may have under applicable data protection, privacy, consumer protection, or publicity laws.
6. Copyright and Intellectual Property
6.1 Copyright in all photographs and images created by us remains the exclusive property of Margareta Ring Photography under the Copyright and Related Rights Act 2000.
6.2 You are granted a personal, non-commercial, non-exclusive licence to view, print, and share the final edited images for personal use only. You may not reproduce, publish, sell, distribute, edit, alter, or use any images for commercial purposes without our prior written consent.
6.3 You may not remove or alter any watermark or credit information contained within the images.
6.4 Separate commercial licensing can be arranged by agreement and will incur additional fees.
7. Offsite, Corporate and Commercial Shoots
7.1 For all sessions taking place outside our normal operating location, or classified as corporate, commercial, or workplace shoots, you accept full responsibility for all matters at the venue. This includes but is not limited to: venue access, parking fees, permits, insurance, health and safety compliance, risk assessment, and any applicable venue rules or restrictions.
7.2 You will ensure a safe and suitable working environment for us during the session. We accept no liability for injury, loss, or damage arising from venue conditions or your arrangements.
7.3 Additional travel expenses, accommodation, or fees may apply for offsite shoots and will be agreed at the time of booking.
8. Client Responsibilities and Liability
8.1 You agree to arrive at the agreed location and time. Late arrival may reduce the duration of the session, and no refund or discount will be given.
8.2 You are responsible for your own clothing, props, styling, makeup, and accessories unless otherwise agreed.
8.3 We will not be liable for any loss, damage, or delay caused by circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to weather conditions, natural disasters, illness, public authority restrictions, or equipment failure.
8.4 Our total liability under any circumstances shall not exceed the total amount paid by you for the specific session.
9. General Provisions
9.1 These Terms and Conditions constitute the entire agreement between you and Margareta Ring Photography. No variation shall be valid unless agreed in writing by both parties.
9.2 These terms are governed by the laws of Ireland. Any dispute will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Ireland.
9.3 We reserve the right to update these Terms and Conditions at any time. The version published on our website at the time of booking shall apply.
9.4 If any provision of these terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.
